The boundaries of personal and relational thinking are frequently blurred causing an altered perception of ourselves and ideas we may hold as truth. A common mindset is to associate success, praise, wealth, and worth with a number and or symbol. This form of perceptual experience relies on societal norms and stigmas for validation through comparison of weight, diet, appearance, and materialism to one's individual merit and ideologies. Through the processes of painting, collage, and assemblage the work poses questioning. These questions being into if we are our own entities, able to see our self and objects beyond what they traditionally are, or if we are merely just a collection of the things which surround us.
