Emily Lyons is an young upcoming Graphic Designer who is in her fourth and last year studying Graphic Design at Spalding University, whose work is made using Adobe programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop and as well as Procreate for tablets, to create bold, clean designs that involve using different forms of typography and design methods to create interesting works of art. Her past work such as the work in her group Junior Focus gallery show, involved making digital drawings of buildings of her interest by using solid flat colors and lines to bring the buildings to life in a way she believed pictures couldn’t. In Emily’s current body of work she is exploring the technique of rotoscoping, which is an animation technique that animators use to trace over motion picture footage frame by frame to produce realistic action, by using it only on still images to study the forms of the figures.
