Jenny Watts is an artist focused in Louisville, KY. While currently working to finish her Bachelors in Fine Arts at Spalding University, Jenny pursues her interest in Digital Illustration and Graphic Design. Upon completion of her degree, Jenny aims to find work locally in Louisville that works with graphics or illustration. As a queer Christian artist, Jenny recived her art education in split circumstances. Young artists have a history of being hurt by those closest to them through abusive religion, condemning them for queerness and differentiating practices, leading to spite of Christianity. Yet Christians are not as accepting of young queer artists, and strain against understanding contemporary art and artists who make it. While the conflict has stemmed frustration for Jenny, she chose to embrace it and begin research in the Summer of 2018 to present about what makes the relationship between the art world and Christianity something to mend.
